About Us

Our Mission

OPCA Overseas Pakistani Christian Alliance is initiative from the Pakistani Christian community based in Europe.

The main target for the OPCA is to provide food, shelter, and medical support to minorities in Pakistan.

Furthermore, we raise voice for minorities who cannot reach their voices to the authorises by providing them legal and emotional support affectively.

Other goals of OPCA is to reach their voices of prosecuted minorities to European Parliamentarians and the Humanitarian Authorities. These authorities include UNHCR, United Nations and European Commissions, who are the gatekeepers for the Human Rights Defenses.

One of the other main target for the OPCA is to organise and keep reminding authorities that they do not forget, that minorities in third national countries are truly not safe due to Blasphemy laws.

Apart from that OPCA is active in educating children’s in Asian countries. Organising youth gatherings, worship meetings and Christian educational development programs for youngsters in Europe are key aims for OPCA.

Aims

  • To provide minorities with food, clothes, shelter and medical support.
  • To support persecuted Christians in Pakistan, enabling them achieve their legitimate rights.
  • Lobby to the international community about the persecution of Christians in Pakistan through engaging United Nations, European Union and parliamentarians.
  • Help Pakistani Christian asylum seekers through advice, letters of support and encouragement.
  • Create awareness about the persecution of Pakistani Christians through organising public demonstrations and conferences, workshops.
  • Collect latest news of persecuted Christians in Pakistan (usually ignored by the Pakistani mainstream media), then highlighting it using all available media sources.
  • Unite like-minded overseas Pakistani Christians on one platform for a stronger & unified voice.

Meet Our Team

Our Board

Board members are elected for at least 5 years.

After that, they are free to be re-elected. The board meets at least 2 times a year and its duties cover five aspects:

  • Supervising executive of OPCA.
  • Adopting the policy, budget, annual report and financial statements.
  • Advising management of OPCA in certain subject areas.
  • Representing OPCA to donors, institutions with corresponding goals.
  • Encouraging and supporting the permanent staff and volunteers.

Remuneration policy:

  • None of the board members receive any financial remuneration for their work devoted to OPCA Foundation.
  • Staff and volunteers of OPCA also receive no salary for their work.
  • OPCA uses the services of several volunteers from the Christian Pakistani community in the Netherlands, none of these employees and volunteers receive salary.
  • Income from OPCA Foundation is at most used for expenses such as travel allowances and volunteer contribution.
